Meet Helen Martin, CD(DONA)
I am a wife and mother of a large, blended family that includes biological, step and adopted children and grandchildren.
My faith is very important to me and I enjoy attending church with my family, reading, photography, nature, and hanging with family and friends.
I have been a foster parent, and a volunteer with homeschooling organizations, and homeless ministries in the past.
I have experience in working with all types of personalities and like to bring a calm encouraging presence into every situation.
I have been blessed to attend many births besides my own and this led me to begin the journey of becoming a doula.
I find each birth to be an amazing miracle and get excited about helping families make this day the best memory it can be.
I especially have a heart to help women who may be facing an unplanned pregnancy or have little or no support available.
I also have experience working with women who plan to place their child for adoption.
I look forward to serving you on your birth journey.
Doula Training
I have completed the Bastyr University Birth Doula Skills Workshop. I have also completed the Lactation Management for Doula training course. I am a Certified Doula with DONA International.
