Working with a Doula

“A Mother’s love is the fuel that enables a normal human to do the impossible…”

Marion C. Garretty

What is a Doula?

The original meaning of doula is women’s servant.  Women have been serving others in childbirth for centuries.  A doula is a professional trained in childbirth who will provide emotional, physical, and educational support throughout the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

What should I expect?

My doula service includes a complimentary meet and greet, a prenatal visit, support through text and phone calls, 24/7 on call commitment starting at 38 weeks until birth and one postpartum visit.

I would like to have at least one prenatal visit where I can get to know you and your hopes, concerns, and preferences for your labor and birth.

I will be on call during your early labor.   When you reach active labor, I will support you at the hospital, home, or birth center.  I will stay with you until you and your baby are settled comfortably after birth.  During the first few weeks after birth I will offer a postpartum visit where I can give support, practical help and mentoring.

What Client's Have to Say

Schedule a Meet & Greet

As a doula, my mission is to support you through your birthing experience. It is important that we start to build the trust that will allow me to act as your advocate as you welcome new life into the world.

I Invite you to schedule a call so we can get to know each other.

I look forward to meeting you.
